Why Christian Education?
On a Christian campus, you will see Bibles lined up next to English textbooks on the shelves. You will hear teachers incorporating christian principles into their lessons. You’ll notice that before every intramural game, the teams huddle up and pray together. At schools that offer Christian Education, the students and faculty have a faith and belief in Jesus that shines through every event that takes place, from registration to graduation.
The concept of a Christian lifestyle is generally missing in public schools. Teachers aren't allowed to speak openly about God and faith. This is one of the greatest advantages of Christian education:the educators’ focus does not stop at academics. They go beyond reading, writing, and arithmetic to redemption, righteousness, and rejoicing. The instructors at Christian schools truly care about each student’s relationship with Jesus, and are there to provide help and guidance.
Another benefit to Christ-centered education is the familial closeness between students. Knowing that they have similar beliefs really brings them together, and from there lifelong friendships can be forged.
Many people have the opportunity to be blessed by this kind of education; it’s not limited only to students and staff. Those who have been on Christian campuses can share what they’ve learned with others and thereby touch many hearts, pointing them in the direction of Jesus and His teachings.Aphee--Class of 2011
